Some of the future doubles from' Heavenly Spider Monkey' are open for 8 days. A super good parent for hybridizing high bud count daylilies. Bud count varies from 25-150. Recommend this one only as a hybridizing parent, because it sets so many bee pods, scapes can not stand up due to too much weight. 3-4 way branching 25-150 buds. The very large clear purple flowers have a heavy substance and open flat. At the center of the flower is a green throat. The wide petalled flowers are nicely ruffled, carrying a gold edge. Unique and different.

The eye of the flower is made up of several shades of violet, with touches of charcoal and blue. It is surrounded by a burgundy mascara band. The eye continues around the ruffled petal edges as a double, burgundy and blue violet edge. The patterned eye is also mimicked on the sepals, adding an extra level of intrigue.
